Chicago Display Marketing, Inc.
Corporate Turnaround and M&A Business The company provides Merchandising, Retail Systems and Point of Purchase design, manufacturing, distribution and customer service for Global 2000 Brands and Retailers. Chicago Display Marketing (CDM) is more than fifty years old and was originally founded by the family that invented the now infamous Hostess Twinkie. Challenge CDM was acquired by Management and was experiencing significant pressure retaining and growing its market share and internal pressure from manufacturing and distribution inefficiencies was also creating substantial duress on the company. Approach/Solution The principal of Woodstock Group International, LLC, Daniel Happ, controlled the majority interest in International Marketing Communications, Inc., a firm specializing in Merchandising Systems, Retail Environments, Printing and Distribution services for Global Brands, Retailers and the US Government. Moreover, Mr. Happ also owned an interest in another Chicago based and related entity, JD Concepts Inc., in which Mr. Happ acquired the remaining shares and merged the combined entities into CDM. Results Mr. Happ, accompanied by the existing CDM senior management and staff, expanded the product and service offerings, reduced cost, increased customer satisfaction levels and enabled CDM to enjoy rapid revenue growth and return to profitability -while expanding its customer base. Mr. Happ remains a Shareholder in Chicago Display Marketing, Inc. |
